Polaroid Perfection

There's something about a Polaroid. The nature of pointing and shooting before almost immediately being delivered the instant film print makes for a strange sense of nostalgia meeting convenience.


Those who've used a Polaroid know that this vibe is hard to match these days with digital photography. I've tried Polaroid countless film 'recipes' and this is the one I've settled on.


Film Simulation: Eterna

Grain Effect: Weak, Large

Colour Chrome Effect: Weak

White Balance: Shade, +6 Red & -5 Blue

Dynamic Range: DR200

Highlight: -2

Shadow: +3

Colour: -4

Sharpness: -1

High ISO NR: -4

Clarity: 0

ISO: Auto, up to ISO 6400

Exposure Compensation: +1/3

Kodachrome 64

I love a good summer glow, and if you have a clear blue sky, and a warm summer glow, this is the recipe for you. It's my go-to when the weather is playing ball.


Film Simulation: Classic Chrome

Grain Effect: Weak, Small

Colour Chrome Effect: Strong

Color Chrome FX Blue: Off

White Balance: Daylight, +2 Red & -5 Blue

Dynamic Range: DR200

Highlight: 0

Shadow: +0.5

Colour: +2

Sharpness: +1

High ISO NR: -4

Clarity: +3

ISO: Auto, up to ISO 6400

Exposure Compensation: 0 to +2/3 (typically)
